Firewall, engine bay & driveline clearance

Custom firewalls & transmission tunnels.

Purpose-built metalwork around engine placement, headers, steering, accessories, transmission swaps, raised floors and altered driveline geometry.

Clearance without compromise

Built around what the vehicle actually needs.

A clean firewall or tunnel has to do more than photograph well. It must clear the drivetrain, preserve structure and allow the finished vehicle to be serviced.

Recessed firewalls

Engine and bellhousing clearance added with transitions that follow the cab instead of looking patched into it.

Smoothed engine bays

Unused openings, rough factory details and prior modifications corrected for a cleaner finished layout.

Transmission tunnels

Hand-built tunnels for transmission swaps, raised driveline position, altered chassis geometry and proper interior fit.

Removable access panels

Service access planned into the fabrication where it makes sense, rather than cutting the finished work later.

Pedal, steering and header clearance

The firewall is fitted around the entire system so one solved interference does not create another.

Floor and firewall transitions

Connection areas shaped as a continuous structure with clean beads, edges and weld placement.

The entire system matters

Clearance, strength and access belong in the same plan.

Engine placement, transmission height, floor height, exhaust, steering, pedals and interior space affect one another. Treating the firewall and tunnel as separate cosmetic panels creates avoidable problems.

The fabrication is patterned around the actual vehicle and checked through the surrounding areas before final welding and metal finishing.

Before fabrication starts

Bring the drivetrain information with the vehicle.

  1. 1

    Document the combination

Vehicle, chassis, engine, transmission, headers, steering and intended interior all belong in the first review.

  2. 2

    Map the interference points

Clearance is checked through the firewall, floor and tunnel as one connected system.

  3. 3

    Approve the scope and deposit

Work is billed at $100 per hour with a $400 minimum and a 50% non-refundable deposit.

  4. 4

    Form, fit and finish

Panels are built around the actual parts, then welded and finished to match the intended level of the build.
